About us
A human-scale medical centre
Born from the wish to offer the neighbourhood accessible, coordinated care, Maison Médicale Neder welcomes you on Place Peter Benoit, in Neder-Over-Heembeek.
Our story
A neighbourhood project, led by hands-on doctors
Neder-Over-Heembeek is growing, and its residents need primary care that is accessible, close by and of high quality. That is how Maison Médicale Neder came about.
Dr Issam Akkad, who graduated with great distinction from the Université libre de Bruxelles, wanted a place where general practice is practised as a team. A nursing team will join the centre soon. A place where you are known, where time is taken, and where your care is followed as a whole.
Located on Place Peter Benoit, the medical centre aims to be a landmark in the neighbourhood: open Monday to Friday, by appointment, designed for all generations.
Under one roof
Two disciplines, one team
Bringing several health professions together in one place saves you back-and-forth trips and ensures that each of your caregivers has the same information.
General medicine
The heart of the centre: a family doctor to care for the whole family, prevention and referral to specialists when needed.
Nursing
A nursing team will join the centre soon.
